Fuerstenau Says That ISAT Results Were Pretty Good This Year

Standardized tests are a painful, but necessary evil for some students. These tests for Illinois students include the PSAE, ISAT and ACT.

Dr. Greg Fuerstenau says that the ISAT scores of Taylorville students were pretty good this year.

The reason for the incremental increase is the No Child Left Behind legislation which is set to expire by next year.

Fuerstenau says that although he likes the idea, 100% goal is unattainable.

The ISAT test is taken by students in 3rd thru 8th grades. After the ISAT test then the ACT test is taken by high school juniors, which is based on a national standard, not an Illinois standard.
