Beer continues to brew controversy in relation to the Taylorville Chillifest. It was banned from the event in 1992, and the question is on the agenda again this year.

According to Patty Hornbuckle, President and CEO of the Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce, the chamber was prepared to set the issue aside, but it was brought back to the forefront after a request from a Taylorville City Council committee.
