Heat Is Hurting Farmers

A heat advisory is in effect until Saturday evening and this heat has been affecting many farmers in the area. Len Corzine, Assumption farmer and past President of the National Corn Growers Association, says that this heat will cut down the yields for farmers.

Corzine says that there is not much farmers can do in these dry conditions.

From June 28th through July 5th there has been less than one tenth of an inch of rain, and every day has seen a high of at least 100 degrees.
