Lincoln Land Community College is hosting an agriculture careers exploration event for females Tuesday, April 24.  “Women in Agriculture” is being held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the Workforce Careers Center on the Springfield campus at 5250 Shepherd Road.

Bill Harmon the professor of agronomy at LLCC says that women are underrepresented in the Ag industry.

Harmon also says that he thinks some women don’t get into agriculture because they might assume it is just farming.

Harmon says that the event will show prospective female students what goes on in LLCC’s Ag Department.
