Officers were sent to the 700 block of East Poplar Street in regards to an intoxicated male subject who was allegedly causing a disturbance.
Officers made contact with 33 year old Todd J. Brookens of Taylorville. Brookens was placed under arrest for public intoxication, transported to the Taylorville Police Department, and released on a notice to appear.
