As a result of the investigation conducted by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office and the Illinois State Police an Information was filed on October 29th with the Circuit Court, 4th Judicial Circuit, Christian County, charging 47 year old Teresa D. Burdick of Assumption with 3 criminal counts, including theft (over $300, less than $10,000.00) – Class 3 Felony, Obstructing Justice – Class 4 Felony, and Tampering with Public Records – Class 3 Felony.
Burdick appeared in Christian County Court Tuesday. She was subsequently booked into the Christian County Sheriffs Office, Correctional Center by Illinois State Police investigators and was issued a Notice to Appear. She is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on January 13th, 2012.
This case is being handled by Michael Vujovich, a Special Prosecutor with the States Attorney Appellate Prosecutors Office.
