Area Arrests And Accidents 03/11/24

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

3/08/24

 

Joshua L. Jones, age 48, of Taylorville was arrested for Meth Delivery.

 

Teresa D. Vaughn, age 55, of Taylorville was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

 

Brian Dailey, age 25, of Taylorville was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance.3/08/24
 

The Taylorville Police responded to the following vehicle accidents;

 

On February 16th at 8:23 AM at Spresser and Cheney. Bruce Kettelkamp of Taylorville was waiting in traffic at the intersection of Spresser and Cheney facing southbound.  Cassia Brookens of Owaneco was turning north onto Cheney Street from Spresser Street.  As they were making the turn, Brookens slid on the slick roadway striking Kettlekamp's vehicle.  Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene. 

 

On February 23rd at 6:51 PM, on North Clay and West Vine Street, Connor Bilyeu of Taylorville was traveling south on North Clay Street approaching the intersection when they struck a parked vehicle.  Neither vehicle sustained disabling damage. 

 

On February 23rd at 10:56 PM, at S. Washington and West Main Cross.  Both vehicles advised they were backing up from parking spots when Chad Smith of Taylorville said he was hit.  He attempted to make contact with the driver of the other vehicle, a minor.  Smith says the minor left the area.  The minor says that Smith hit their vehicle and left the area also.  The minor went to the police station to file a report.  Smith said that he would be at TPD the next morning to file a report, but officers met at his residence to gather information and noticed some damage. 

 

On February 26th at 9:32 AM, at Route 29 and Route 104, Joy Stafford of Taylorville was traveling westbound on Route 104 and Deborah Watson of Tower Hill was also traveling westbound.  Watson attempted to change lanes and didn't see Stafford and struck their vehicle.  

 

On February 27th at 5:53 PM on Wilson and Webster, there was a two vehicle crash.  Pamela Lees of Taylorville stated that while they were facing southbound stopped at the light, a minorfailed to reduce speed and collided into the back of Lees vehicle.
