Area Arrests And Accidents 01/18/24

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

1-17-24 Shelby Olson, age 25, of Pana was arrested by CCSO on a Body Attachment Warrant for failure to pay or appear as ordered by the court.

 

1-16-24 Justis Nichols was arrested by Morrisonville PD for domestic battery.

 

CRASHES

 

1-12-24 John Pendleton was traveling south on 600 East Road when a deer entered the roadway. Pendleton was unable to avoid striking the deer. Pendleton’s vehicle sustained damage to its front and passenger side but was able to be driven from the scene. No injuries were reported.

 

1-12-24 Alexandria Castracane was traveling north on route 48 and crossed the southbound lane and traveled into the ditch. Castracane came to a stop in the ditch. No injuries. No tow.

 

1-12-24 Jordan Brummet was traveling north on Route 51 around 75 North when a deer ran into the roadway. Brummet hit the deer causing damage to the front of the vehicle. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

1-12-24 Linda Brown was traveling northeast on IL Route 48 at 965 East when she struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

 

1-12-24 Joshua Contreras was traveling north on 1400 E. at 3112 N.  in Mt Auburn when he struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries. No tow.

 

1-16-24 Ernest Cox was driving a USPS van and was pulling away from mailboxes in the 300 block of S. Pine after depositing mail in them. Unit 2 was a FedEx van that pulled in behind Cox. Occupants of unit 2 were out of the vehicle to make a delivery. Cox started to back up to the mailbox's to deposit another piece of mail, not seeing unit 2 behind it. Cox struck Unit 2, causing minor damage to both vehicles. No injuries. No tows.

 

1-17-24 Patrick Butler and Benjiman DeClerck were involved in a traffic crash in Taylorville township. Butler was traveling north on 900 East Road at approximately 1550 North when it swerved into the oncoming lane. Butler sideswiped DeClerck’s mirror. No injuries. No tow.

 

1-17-24 Ryan Hammer was traveling west on 1600 N. at approximately 2680 when it left the roadway and overturned. No injuries. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
