Area Arrests And Accidents 05/19/21

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;


47 year old Richard C. Shivers of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday on a FTA warrant for possession of meth.

 

34 year old Drew M. Collins of Kincaid was arrested on Tuesday for criminal trespass to property. 

 

34 year old Zachary R. Newberry of Taylorville was arrested on Tuesday for a violation of a bail bond.

 

Sandra Freeman of Nokomis was southbound on Illinois Route 29 when Freeman’s vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported. 

 

Katelyn Swisher of Taylorville was northbound on IL Route 29 just south of Owaneco in Locust Township when Swisher’s vehicle struck a deer. No injuries were reported.

 

Kurt Gilsinger of Chesterfield, Missouri and David Jack of Palmer were both southbound on Monday on IL Route 48 in Palmer. Jack slowed to make a lefthand turn and Gilsinger failed to stop in time, striking the rear of Jack. No injuries were reported. Gilsinger was issued a citation. 

 

Marjorie Muehlebach of Decatur was involved in a vehicle accident on Monday, heading southbound on US Route 51, north of Pana. Muehlebach was negotiating the curves from four lanes to two when she lost control and struck two IDOT Road Signs causing damage.  No injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

34 year old Zachary R. Newberry was arrested for driving while license suspended/revoked violation of bail bond.

 

47 year old Richard Shivers was arrested on a Christian County warrant.

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon. Charles A. Berger of Centralia was exiting Amity Food Parking Lot onto West Spresser Street. Johnny L. Kalb of Peoria was eastbound on West Spresser Street when Berger failed to yield to Kalb. No injuries were reported and Berger was issued a citation.
