Area Arrests And Accidents 1/28/20

The Christian County Sheriff’s Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

26 year old Michelle S. Dixon of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2019 charge of retail theft. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

26 year old Kelsey A. West of Sullivan was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2018 charge of retail theft. Bond was set at $2,500.

 

34 year old Nathan A. Hapner of Taylorville was arrested on Monday on a bond forfeiture warrant for a 2017 charge. Bond was set at $7,500.

 

60 year old Gary E. Turvey of Taylorville was arrested on Monday for aggravated DUI and driving on a suspended/revoked license.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

19 year old Michael Durbin of Taylorville was arrested on Friday for violating the sex offender registry. 

 

Taylorville Police responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday afternoon in Taylorville at Walmart. A vehicle being driven by Lindsay M. Hoover was headed eastbound in the Walmart parking lot almost to the stop sign. Gary E. Turvey of Taylorville was eaded westbound into the Walmart Parking lot. Both vehicles hit with Turvey striking the rear driver quarter panel of Hoover. Turvey left the scene of the crash and was later identified. No injuries were reported.

 

On January 9th TPD was called to a possible hit and run in the Springfield Clinic Parking lot. A vehicle was parked in a parking spot outside Springfield clinic.  When the owner came out they noticed a dent on the driver side rear passenger sliding door.  The door had a minor dent and white paint transfer. There were no vehicles around the vehicle matching the paint scheme.
