Wrights Furniture recently achieved some accolades, including being named a Standout Retailer by Home Accents today and being named to the ‘Beyond The Top 100’ from Furniture Today. Being able to get that type of recognition starts with their roots in Dietrich, according to Alex Wright from Wright’s Furniture.

The way the story goes, in 1889 a member of the Wright family was set to go to Arkansas, but things changed when the local furniture store owner came to him with an offer.

As evidence by the mere existence of Wright’s Furniture, the deal was struck. However, the Wright descendant telling the story says it took some negotiation. 

The funeral home was run by the Wright family for many years, but Alex shares that it was sold a few years ago.
