Several health care providers in Illinois received part of a 51-million dollar grant just announced by the U-S Department of Health and Human Services, to treat the corona virus outbreak.
Among local health care providers receiving money were:
Central Counties Health Centers with locations in Taylorville, Springfield, and Jacksonville, which received over 841-thousand dollars;
the Macoupin County Health Department in Carlinville receiving over 652-thousand dollars;
and Southern Illinois University in Springfield, receiving just over one-million dollars.
