Montgomery County Announces First COVID-19 Case

The Christian Montgomery Counties Emergency Management Agency or Chris-Mont EMA held a special press conference on Saturday to announce a new COVID-19 case in Montgomery County, the Counties first confirmed case. Brian Hitchings, Public Information Officer for Chris-Mont EMA says that the resident is quarantined in their home and cooperating with the Department of Public Health.

 

 

Public Information Officer Mike Havera also released details on one of the Christian County COVID-19 cases.  Havera says that the case has been identified at the Rolling Meadows Senior Living apartments in Taylorville.

 

 

Havera read a statement from Mayor Bruce Barry urging everyone to not panic, but prepare yourself and stay home.
