The Illinois Department of Health announced today that there are 168 new cases of COVID-19 in Illinois including another death. A man died in his 70’s from Cook County. IDPH is reporting that there are 753 cases in 26 counties in Illinois. Governor JB Pritzker clarified places that will still be open after the shut down that starts Saturday at 5 PM.
Governor Pritzker also had a message for everyone that has retired from the medical field or left the profession to come back.
Department of Health Director Dr. Ngozi Ezike, encouraged maximizing the state’s availability of PPE or personal protective equipment.
