Illinois Elections See Victories for Biden, Curran, Londrigan, and Miller

The Illinois primaries happened last night and Joe Biden won the Illinois nomination with 59% of the vote handling things fairly easy, as Bernie Sanders only finished with 36% of the vote. In the US Senate Republican Primary, Mark Curran defeated Peggy Hubbard 41% to 22.9%. While Hubbard won in most central Illinois counties, Curran won almost everywhere else including Springfield, Peoria, Rockford, and Chicago. 

 

Democrat Betsy Londrigan will again face off against Republican Rodney Davis after defeating Stefanie Smith 76% - 23% for the 13th district. Republican Mary Miller will face off against Democratic candidate Erika Weaver as both women won in the 15th district for US Representative. 

 

In the 95th district for the Illinois House, Avery Bourne defeated Lawrence Oliver 85.5% -14.5%. The regular elections will be taking place in November of 2020.
