State Senator Andy Manar was honored at a reception at the Taylorville fire hall on Monday evening. Manar was honored for his work in securing Taylorville $500,000 towards tornado relief. Mayor of Taylorville, Bruce Barry, hosted the event which was well attended. Senator Manar thanked both Mayor Barry and the attendees. Manar says that he is surprised at how just how much Taylorville has done in a short time.
Manar says that this is what the government needs to get back to doing, which is helping the citizens of their state no matter where they live.
Manar was also honored at the City Council Meeting as well.
