Recently State Senator Andy Manar made a stop in Taylorville to swing by Memorial Elementary School and Taylorville High School.

While at Taylorville High School Manar had the opportunity to see the new STEM lab and the virtual reality field trips the students can go on. Manar says he was shocked at what he was seeing as the class went down in the Egyptian Pyramids.

Taylorville High School is now the second school in Illinois to get a STEM lab. When Manar spoke with Superintendent Dr. Gregg Furstenau he was told how difficult it was for Taylorville to try to keep up with other schools under the old system.
