49 graduating nurses received their pins at the 2014 Lake Land College associate degree in nursing pinning ceremony.
Shelby R. Overbeck of Effingham received both the Marilyn Fuqua Thompson Nursing Award and the Associate Degree Nursing Peer Award.
The Marilyn Fuqua Thompson Nursing Award is given each year to a graduating student who is considered to be the all-around best student in the class.
The recipient of the Associate Degree Nursing Peer Award is chosen because of his or her clinical and scholastic performance, willingness to help other students, professionalism, maturity and spirit. The recipient of this award is chosen by fellow nursing students.
