Kincaid Mayor Doug Thomas has been arrested for the second time in a month. Thomas was picked up by the Illinois State Police around 11:00 Thursday morning for violating an order of protection. Thomas is being housed in the Christian County Jail and is reportedly expected to go before a judge tomorrow (Friday). ISP preliminary investigative details revealed that Thomas had violated the order by contacting a protected person on March 1 in Christian County. Thomas was arrested February 20th by Christian County Sheriff’s deputies for violating an order of protection and drug possession after deputies found prescription drugs in an unlabeled bottle on him. There is reportedly a petition circulating around Kincaid calling for Mayor Thomas to resign.
