The Taylorville City Council held a brief special meeting Monday night to discuss a possible amendment to the contract with Mizeur Farms for the dredging of Locust Creek Siltation Area II located at Lake Taylorville. The amendment would be to add approximately 5,000 cubic yards at $3.50 per cubic yard but not to exceed a cost of $20,000. Alderman Martin Vota explains why they want to do the additional work now:

The Council approved the proposal unanimously. The cost will be split 50/50 between the Lake and Water departments. The meeting adjourned at 6:04pm.
