Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 9-27-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Crystal L. Dailey, 45, of 801 Elder Street 4C, Assumption, was arrested September 26 for battery.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

ARRESTS:

On September 24, a Taylorville Police Department officer stopped a vehicle after recognizing the male driver of the vehicle who the officer knew to not have a valid driver's license. The officer spoke to the driver and upon further investigation, Aaron M. Ballion, 21, of Edinburg was arrested for possession of cannabis of less than 2.5 grams and Brandon J. Gardner, 24, of Taylorville was arrested for manufacturing and delivery of cannabis between 2.5-10 grams. Both Ballion and Gardner were processed and released on a notice to appear.

On September 27 at 12:27pm, Taylorville Police Department officers received a call in reference to an intoxicated male that left One East Market stumbling. The male then got in a red mustang and drove away. Officer made contact with Tyler J. Brandis, 20, of Taylorville at the parking lot of Jensen's. Following investigation, Brandis was arrested for zero tolerance consumption of alcohol. Brandis was transported to Taylorville Police Department and released with a notice to appear.

 

ACCIDENTS:
On September 25, a 16-year-old male from Taylorville made a left turn onto Houston Street as Abby P. May, 25, of Taylorville was traveling eastbound. The 16-year-old was cited for failure to yield. No injuries were reported

On September 25, Robert W. Vanderwal, 47, of Springfield slowed before merging into the northbound lane. Thomas A. Durbin, 17, of Lakewood stated that he though Vanderwal was continuing and accelerated. Durbin struck the rear end of Vanderwal. No injuries were reported.
