THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:
ACCIDENTS:
On September 16, John R. Paine, 55, of Taylorville advised he was northbound on 1600 East Road approximately one mile south of Route 29. Paine said a deer jumped out of the corn field to the east and in front of Paine's vehicle. Paine collided with the deer. Paine advised he was traveling at a slow rate of speed as he works for the lake department and was aware of deer in the area. Paine sustained minimal damage to the his vehicle. The deer was spooked and managed to make it back into the corn field prior to Taylorville City Police responding to the incident.
ARRESTS:
Jacob K. Henschen, 21, of 307 South Vine Street, Pana, was arrested September 17 for driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs, aggravated battery of a peace officer (no injury) and resisting a peace officer.
Scott T. Tucker, 43, of 416 East Maple, Gillespi, was arrested September 17 on a bond forfeiture for possession of a stolen title for a vehicle
THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:
On September 16 at 7:17pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an IVC violation. Following the stop, Daniel P. Ballard, 43, of Taylorville was arrested for driving while license revoked.
