Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 7-16-13

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

INCIDENTS:

On July 15 at approximately 8:10am, a Christian County Sheriff's officer was sent to 700 North 115 East Road in Morrisonville in reference to a theft that had occurred. The officer arrived on scene and met with the home owner Dale Osterholt. Osterholt said sometime between July 14 around 11:00pm and July 15 at 5am, unknown subject(s) gained entry to his machine shed located west of his residence, Once inside the unknown subject(s) gained entry to Osterholt's work van which contained numerous electrical equipment and took #6, #8, #10 wire along with some romex 12-2 and 14-2 wire that were on spools. Located approximately 15 feet away, Osterholt said the unknown subject(s) took a pile of scrap wire he had from numerous electrical jobs he has performed over the past few months. Osterholt advised the only other thing missing that he could tell was a larger #6 and #8 spool of copper wire. Osterholt advised each spool contained approximately 500 feet of wire. It appeared the unknown subject(s) exited out the west bay door on the south side of the building.

ARRESTS:
Kerry K. Decker, 30, of 521 North Maple Street, Nokomis, was arrested July 15 on a bond forfeiture for false report of an offense.
