>>Illini Drop In USA Today Poll

(Madison, WI)  --  Illinois dropped from number-13 to 22 in the "USA Today" Top-25 Poll.  The Fighting
Illini went 0-and-2 last week with the losses at the hands of Minnesota and
Wisconsin.  The Illini hope to get back on track when it hosts Northwestern on
Thursday. You can hear that game on Newstalk 97.3 WTIM.

>>Bulls Crush Hawks

(Chicago, IL)  --  Carlos Boozer scored 20 points and grabbed 13 rebounds as the Bulls mopped the floor with the Hawks, 97-58, at the United Center.  Boozer has posted a double-double in seven of his
last eight games.  Atlanta shot an embarrassing 24-of-82 from the field as a
team and had 15 assists to 14 turnovers.  The Hawks were held to five points in
the second quarter.  Joakim Noah added nine points and 16 rebounds in the win. 
The Bulls improved to 21-and-15 and hit the road tomorrow night to play the
Raptors in Toronto.

>>Bears Coaching Search Could Be Winding Down

(Lake Forest, IL)  -- The search for the next Chicago Bears head coach could be winding down. 
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Bears will have second interviews with Seahawks
offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell and Marc Trestman, the head coach of the
CFL's Montreal Alouettes.  Chicago has also talked with Packers offensive
coordinator Tom Clements, Texans offensive coordinator Rick Dennison and Colts
offensive coordinator Bruce Arians.  The Bears are looking to replace Lovie
Smith, who was fired after nine seasons in Chicago.

>>Big Ten Could Rename Divisions

(Undated)  --  Illinois and Northwestern could be getting new division names in the near future.  Big Ten
commissioner Jim Delany says the conference is considering a change to the
"Legends" and "Leaders" names to each division.  Illinois is currently in the
Leaders division while Northwestern sits in the Legends.  Maryland and Rutgers
are set to join the league next year.
