On the ballot Tuesday is a referendum regarding aggregation, intended to save citizens money by purchasing power from a different electricity provider. Taylorville Mayor Greg Brotherton says he hopes people know what is at stake.

The mayor says after the elections on Tuesday he may start thinking about the municipal elections coming up in April. Mayor Brotherton says one thing that needs to be addressed is the condition of the city streets.

Mayor Brotherton has already announced that he will stand for reelection.
