The Greater Taylorville Chamber of Commerce Chillifest Committee met Monday afternoon at the Chamber board room, to finalize plans for the 2012 edition of Chillifest taking place October 13th and 14th on the square.

Sub-committee chairs reported that the entertainment schedule has been finalized, that entries have closed for the Little Miss and Mister contests with 29 girls and 14 boys entered, and that eleven babies have been signed up so far for the Cutest Baby Contest with additional entries sought.

There’s also room for additional vendors to sell their wares during Chillifest weekend.

Chillifest event co-chair Greg Hornbuckle told Regional Radio News that response from the community has been great.

Hornbuckle added he’s hoping this year’s new Bags Tournament will be an annual affair.

The Chillifest Committee will meet one final time before the big weekend, on Monday, October 8th.
