Taylorville Police made a traffic stop early Thursday morning which developed into something more. Officers pulled the vehicle over on an equipment violation near the intersection of Cheney and Spresser Streets. They arrested the driver, 19 year-old Matthew Dean Blake Joplin of Taylorville, when they learned he was apparently driving on a suspended license.
