The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;
 

12/9/25

Lavell Wallace, 21, of Pana was arrested by the Pana Police Department for Domestic Battery.

 

12/10/25

Timothy Myer, 41, of Jewett, IL was arrested by the Pana Police Department for Aggravated Fleeing or Eluding Officer and Receive/Possess/Sell Stolen Vehicle.

 

12/13/25

Brooke Eakle, 32, of Pana was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Disorderly Conduct and Improper Parking On Roadway.

 

12/14/25

Jacob Gray, 19, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Home Invasion, Aggravated Battery and Unlawful Use Of Weapon.

 

12/15/25

Payton Farris, 23, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Domestic Battery.

 

Michael McKittrick, 38, of Pana was arrested by the Pana Police Department for Domestic Battery.

 

Zoe Tapp, 24, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Domestic Battery.

Eric Klein, 46, of Pana was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Domestic Violence and Aggravated Assault.

 

12/23/25

Patricia Shipman, 66, of Pana was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Violation of Order of Protection.

 

12/24/25

Christopher Carnahan, 47, of Stonington was arrested by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Burglary, Possession of Methamphetamine and Criminal Trespass to Building.

 

12/26/25

Tawana Hall, 43, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession With Intent to Deliver and Driving While License Revoked or Suspended.

 

Zoe Tapp, 24, of Taylorville was arrested by the Taylorville Police Department for Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstructing Officer and Possession With Intent to Deliver.


Accidents
 

12/14/25 at 12:42 p.m.

Charles Conlee, 35, of Nokomis (Unit 1)

Megan Byrd, 24, of Raymond (Unit 2)

Kaitlyn Springman, 31, of Nokomis (Unit 3)

 

Unit 1, 2 and 3 were all traveling south near 825 N 1250 E RD when Unit 2 was in front of Unit 1 and Unit 3 was behind Unit 1. Unit 2 had slowed down due to another unknown vehicle that reduced speed ahead of Unit 2. Unit 1 failed to reduce speed and struck the rear end of Unit 2. In an attempt to avoid striking Unit 1 and Unit 2, Unit 3 left the roadway to the left and overturned in a field on the east side of the roadway.

 

12/15/25 at 7:45 a.m.

Italy Micheletta, 21, of Taylorville (Unit 1)

Quintin Ward, 27, of Taylorville (Unit 2)

Unit 1 was traveling North on 1350 E RD and Unit 2 was traveling South. Unit 1 collided with Unit 2’s trailer and Unit 1 had damage to its front. Unit 2 had damage to its trailer.

 

12/15/25 at 7:50 a.m.

Mitchell Manion, 39, of Pana (Unit 1)

Jacob Washburn, 35, of Pana (Unit 2)

Unit 2 was backing into a driveway at 700 E Jefferson ST when Unit 1 turned off of Hickory ST and hit the front of Unit 2 causing damage to the front of both vehicles.

 

12/17/25 at 5:05 p.m.

Chyenna Wallace, 23, of Nokomis was traveling South near 725 N 1250 E RD and struck a deer that entered the road.

 

12/19/25 at 6:29 p.m.

Benjamin Meyer, 29, of Bulpitt was traveling southeast near 1810 IL RT 29 and struck a coyote that entered the roadway.

 

12/20/25 at 5:46 p.m.

Stephen Ruot, 21, of Taylorville was traveling south on 1250 East RD when he hit a deer in the roadway.

 

12/21/25 at 1:58 a.m.

Preston Collins, 37, of Pana was traveling south near 188 Chestnut St in Pana when the vehicle exited the right side of the roadway. The driver over corrected the vehicle as it entered back onto the roadway causing the vehicle to overturn and collided with the ditch embankment on the left side of the roadway.

 

12/24/25 at 9:29 p.m.

Alison Denning, 29, of Bulpitt was traveling North on 600 East RD at 1750 North RD when the vehicle exited the right side of the roadway and collided into the ditch embankment.

Jennifer A. Lewis, age 44, of Stonington Illinois, was arrested for DUI.

 

Quadius V. Rush, age 41, of Hillsboro Illinois, was arrested on a Warrant.

 

Brian J. Mundhenke, age 59, of Taylorville, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Indecent Exposure and Resisting Arrest.

 

Bret A. Heimsness, age 62, of Taylorville, was arrested for Obstruction of Justice.

Jeremy S. Ginger, age 45, of Taylorville, was arrested for DUI.

 

Nicholas A. Medina, age 24, of Minooka Illinois, was arrested for Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest and Obstruction of Justice.

 

12/26/25

 

Zoe M. Tapp, age 24, of Taylorville, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine.

 

Tawana R. Hall, age 43, of Taylorville, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine.

Accidents

 

The Taylorville Police Department responded to the following crashes.  On November 19th at 8:02 AM, George E. Norris of Taylorville was traveling eastbound on E. Bidwell Street.  A bus driven by Stephen J. Epley of Taylorville turned left from N. Pawnee Street onto Bidwell and the crossing arm bar struck the rear drivers side panel of Norris' vehicle. No injuries were reported. 

 

On November 26th at 11:31 AM, Cynthia A. Porter of Taylorville was backing out of a parking lot at 1000 W Spresser Street, and struck a vehicled parked on West Park Boulevard. No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 4th a vehicle driven by Tyrone P. Poleon of Palmer had a green arrow and began turning off of Wilson St., south onto Webster St. A vehicle driven by Larissa R. Clements of Pana did not get stopped at the red light and entered the intersection striking Poleon in the intersection. Clements was issued a citation for disregarding a traffic control device. Both drives refused medical. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.

 

On December 2nd, at 4:28 PM, Andrew G. Cook of Taylorville was traveling east within the 200 block of East Park Street, came to a stop on the pavement as there was traffic stopped ahead.  Brodon W. Bland of Pana failed to stop and struck Cook's vehicle. No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 3rd, at 1:07 PM, Unit 1 was traveling westbound on W. Vine Street.  Kathryn R. Gallagher of Taylorville was traveling southbound on N. Cheney Street.  Phillip S. Nagle of Taylorville disobeyed a stop sign and Gallagher struck Nagle's passenger side.  Nagle's vehicle was towed.  No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 4th at 12:44 PM, Mark A. Nicol of Taylorville was behind Neil E. Ferris of Taylorville at the stop sign on Webster Street at Bidwell Street. Ferris started backing up and Nicol couldn't back up as there was another vehicle behind it.  Ferris struck the front end of Nicol.  No injuries were reported and no citations were issued to Ferris.

 

 On December 7th, 2025 at 4:22 PM, Carol Wickline of Stonington was parked on the south side of 118 W Franklin Street facing north.  Wickline was attempting to reverse from the parking spot, and put the vehicle into drive by mistake.  Wickline crashed into the southside wall of 118 W Franklin street causing significant damage.  No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 10th, 2025 at 5:24 AM, Justin D. Hay of Kincaid struck a deer at or near E 1500 North Road just east of N 1017 East Road.  No injuries were reported but the crash caused the airbag to deploy and the vehicle ended up being towed. 

 

On December 11th 2025 at 5:30 PM, Devin Hurlburt of Pana was heading east on Park Street attempting to turn south on main Street.  Elizabeth E. Martin of Taylorville was waiting at the stop sign on Main Street at Park Street facing north.  Hurlburt began to slide while making the turn and struck Martin due to the snow and ice on the ground.  No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 14th, 2025 at 3:53 PM, Owen S. Busboom was headed east on Route 48 to turn right onto Cherokee Street.  Police say Busboom was going to fast as the roads were covered in snow and ice and was unable to turn, striking Monte R. Evans Jr. of Taylorville, that was waiting at the stop sign.  Busboom was issued a citation.  No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 16th, 2025 at 7:19 AM, Jennifer M. Swisher of Tower Hill was traveling northwest on W. Springfield Road near 929 W. Springfield Road.  Swisher attempted to apply brakes to come to a stop but hit a patch of ice causing them to skid striking a power pole.  No injuries were reported but the power pole didn't make it. 

 

On December 19th, 2025 at 6:45 AM Victoria N. Verardi of Taylorville was headed west on Park Street turning left on Webster Street.  Verardi had a green light and was waiting for cars to come through prior to making the left turn.  Forest M. Selby of Kincaid was heading east on spresser Street turning right onto Webster Street.  Selby also had a green light.  Verardi did not see Selby making a right turn and struck them while making the turn.  No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 2nd at 2:06 PM, Donna R. McKinnie Orlandi of Morrisonville was traveling eastbound on W. Poplar Street and approaching the intersection of N. Shumway.  Ariana R. McDaniel Stewart of Palmer was traveling southbound on N. Shumway Street.  McKinnie Orlandi failed to yield at the stop sign and entered the intersection, striking McDaniel Stewart.  No injuries were reported. 

 

On December 23rd at 5:06 PM, Adam J. Johnson of Taylorville was making a westbound turn from Route 29 onto Route 104.  Jeffrey E. Askins of Pana was traveling south.  Both vehicles had green lights, and Johnson failed to yield for Askins, striking them, and causing injuries for Johnson and his passenger. 

 

On December 23rd at 5:42 PM, David W. Suiter of Taylorville struck the rear of Lisa M. Kohl of Taylorville while Kohl was slowing to make a right turn off Spingfield Road into a private drive.  No injuries were reported.
