Area Arrests And Accidents 09/17/24

The Christian County Sheriff's Office reported the following to Regional Radio News;

 

Arrests

 

9/13/24

 

Michael Snow, 47, was arrested by Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Illegal Possession of Weapon by Felon, False Personation of Public Officials and Employees.

 

Daniel Davis, 42, was arrested by Taylorville Police Department for Domestic Battery.

 

9/14/24

 

Rex Allen, 34, was arrested by Pana Police Department for Violation of Order of Protection.

 

9/15/24

 

Marina Lyles, 30, of Assumption was arrested by Christian County Sheriff’s Office for Possession of Controlled Substance.

 

Crashes

 

9/14/24

 

Randy Blankenship, 38, of Edinburg was traveling West on 2100 North RD when the vehicle left the roadway on the Northside and collided with a  standing corn field. The vehicle damaged a small amount of the standing corn stalks. The vehicle was found on the Northside of 2100 North RD with no damage to its front, but did have damage to its drivers side mirror, bed, and taillight possibly from a previous crash. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Taylorville Towing and the driver was taken to Taylorville Hospital by ambulance.

 

A minor from Pana was facing North on 1900 East RD driving a golf cart and made a left turn onto County Highway 4 (2000 North). Regena Craggs, 60, of Taylorville was traveling East on County Highway 4. the minor did not see Regena Craggs pulled on to County Highway 4. The vehicles made contact with the front passenger side on both vehicles. The driver and passenger were both thrown from the golf cart after the impact and was transported to St. John’s Hospital.

 

Desiree Lush, 37, of Taylorville was traveling Westbound on State Route 104 and Taylorville Township. A deer entered the roadway and she was unable to avoid the deer. The vehicle struck the deer causing damage to the front passenger side of the vehicle.

 

Gabrielle Hutson, 23, of Tovey was traveling North on 400 East RD when the driver failed to negotiate the curve in the roadway. The vehicle collided with the North ditch and had damage to its front. The vehicle was removed from the scene by Taylorville Towing and no injuries were reported.

 

The Taylorville Police Department reported the following to Regional Radio News;

Michelle A. Hott, age 57, of Taylorville was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.
 

9/11/24

 

Richard, A. Micheletta, age 43, of Taylorville was arrested for a Warrant and Possession of Methamphetamine.
 

9/13/24

 

Tyler L. Stevens, age 26, of Springfield Illinois was arrested for Criminal Damage to Property. 
 

9/14/24

 

Pamela S. Chasteen, age 61, of Centralia Illinois was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.

 

The Taylorville police department investigated the following crashes: 

 

September 5th 9:19 PM:  Ruth M. Boch of Taylorville entered the intersection headed south, without stopping at the stop sign, on Webster St. at W. Main Cross St. Shayna L. Champley of Stonington was in the intersection on W. Main Cross St. at Webster St. headed west. Boch disobeyed the traffic control device and struck Champley in the passenger side. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Boch was transported to T.M.H. by Dunn's Ambulance.

 

September 6th at 8:49 PM: Jeffrey S. Stickel of Taylorville struck Gary L. Miller of Taylorville after disobeying the stop sign at the intersection of North Cherokee and East Main Cross Street.  Stickel was traveling northbound before turning westbound and striking Miller.  Miller was sitting stationary at the intersection facing east. 

 

September 9th at 8:09 AM Alan Mann of Taylorville was traveling north on Cheney Street.  a minor from Taylorville was traveling East on Market Street.  The minor failed to stop at the stop sign at Market and Cheney Street and struck Mann on the rear driver side.
