It would be their worst loss since 2021 when Taylorville lost to Pana by a score of 52-18 on December 16th. The Lady Tornadoes went into 21-1 Alton and couldn't get their offense going as the Redbirds torched Taylorville 73-20. 

The Tornadoes got within 2 when it would be 9-7 midway through the first quarter but the Redbirds would go on a 32-2 run and never look back.  Addison Tarr was named the Nicole Patrick Country Financial Player of the game with 7 points but the Tornadoes looked shell-shocked and struggled to get anything going.  

The Tornadoes fall to 12-8.  They head to Lincoln (11-9) on January 31st.  The Tornadoes will try to defeat Lincoln for the first time since December 5th, 2019.
