Central A&M came in to the contest at 5 - 0 while the visiting Cardinals of Warrensburg-Latham sat at 8 - 0. Both teams started strong in the first quarter for a 12-13 ballgame before the Cardinals would go on an 18 - 0 run to start the second. Central A&M failed to find their footing offensively and would go on to put up 14 total points in the second, third, and fourth quarters. Warrensburg-Latham pulled away quickly and never looked back while coasting to 9 - 0 on the season.
