The Christian County Sheriff’s Office is back to full patrol staffing and is ready for September events. There is a busy schedule for them to cover in the coming month, and deputies are also on hand at select schools to keep students and drivers safe. Chief Deputy Jim Baker says military- and health-related situations stretched his team thin at times in recent months.
The return to their normal roster means sheriff’s deputies can conduct enforcement during the busy Labor Day weekend.
Some deputies are assigned to patrol near certain schools in less populated areas of the county. They aim to keep students safe, especially as they enter and exit buses.
