Taylorville City Council Approved 3 Ordinances On Monday

At Monday night’s City Council Meeting, there were three ordinance matters that were approved by the council.


The first ordinance was to amend subparagraph E.2 of section 8-4-1 and paragraphs A and B of section 8-4-2 of Chapter 4 of Title 8 to the Taylorville City Code. 


This ordinance would affect the water main tapping specifications as well as pipe specifications and installation. The motion was made by Alderman Steve Dorchinez and was followed up with a second from Alderwoman Amy Hagan and was approved 8-0.


 

 


The second ordinance was to add no parking to the north side of the 800 block of West Market Street. The motion was made by Alderwoman Megan Bryant, and the second came from Alderman Doug Brown. This motion was approved 9-0. 


 

 


The third ordinance was to approve and authorize the execution of a second amendment to the business development district number 1 redevelopment agreement by and between the City of Taylorville and Dustin Clark of 100 and 102 South Main Street. Alderman Larry Bud made the first motion and was followed up with a second from Steve Dennis. This motion carried 9-0.
