Taylorville Music Lessons is adding a new recording studio to its location.  With it, the business plans to hold classes on music recording and production, songwriting, and more.  Interested participants will be able to form bands and record songs, both covers and original pieces.

Owner Mike Semerau is leading the charge in creating the recording studio.  He says it is the reason for the ongoing work at the back of the building. 

A band-related course will also be launched, and it will bring interested musicians together to create music. 

Semerau says his past experiences in wanting to play in a band but not being able to inspired this endeavor.
