The Christian County Board will again consider a kratom ban along with building renovations and more at their monthly meeting tonight. As always, it will begin at 6 p.m., and similarly to recent occasions, it will take place in the Taylorville High School cafeteria.
The kratom ban ordinance is part of the Executive/Personal/Liquor/Legislative committee’s section of the meeting. Members will also discuss residency waivers and provide an EMA update.
From the Highway/Building/Grounds/Environmental/Zoning/Welfare committee, there will be discussions on a cleaning of the third floor of the courthouse and the installation of a drop ceiling on the second floor. Floor repairs to the 911 dispatcher director’s office will also be discussed. Members will continue discussions on fiscal year 2027 – including for the Sheriff – in the Audit, Finance, and Purchasing Committee.
As is customary, before the committee-specific business, the public will have the chance to comment on county-related matters. Stay tuned for updates after the meeting.
