The Taylorville Kiwanis Club will hold the first of its two upcoming food drives this weekend.  The first one takes place Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the new Taylorville Community Credit Union Branch on North Webster Street.  The later drive is set for Saturday, September 12 at the same time and location.  Interested visitors can donate money or non-perishable food, which will be relayed to the Taylorville Food Pantry. The service organization has held food drives for a number of years.

Kiwanis member Will Perkins will be at the food drive.  He says, as with past editions, visitors can simply drive up for their donations to be collected. 

Sophie Robinson, another Kiwanis member, says this event directly aligns with the organization’s overall goals.
