The Christian County Agricultural Fair has come to a close. After a week filled of activities from livestock judging to a big grandstand performance. 

At this years Christian County Ag Fair, it was hard not to find something to enjoy. The beer tent hosted a great view of the track for Wednesday night’s stock car races and for Thursday’s tractor and truck pull. Aside from a great view of the track, the beer tent also hosted live music, and was where Thursday’s Community Ag Luncheon took place. 

As engines roared, the crowd cheered for the stock car races that took place on day 2 of the fair.

Although the roaring stock care engines reached quite a high volume, the loudest volume level was from the custom built tractors that competed at the tractor and truck pull on day 3 of the fair.

This specific tractor used two Cobra helicopter engines for its main power.

Following the tractor and truck pull on Thursday, the beer tent featured live music from the Brandi Kristin Band, who sang cover songs from the mid 80’s all the way up to the early 2000’s. Their singer, was actually one of the original live music feat's lead vocalists from back when the band Antics used to perform there every year.

The Gary Allan concert, which left the grandstand completely sold out, took place on Friday night, with special opening act Mark Chestnut. Before the Show, Dylan Clark from Hart Media Group spoke onstage with Tuesday night’s Miss Christian County Pageant winners. The peagant queens, and moments from Mark Chestnut and Gary Allan can be seen pictured below.

Throughout the week, the fair hosted other events as well, such as Community Day, which featured various job seekers and vendors from both local communities as well as all around Illinois. Some of the booths at the community day event, were even businesses that sponsored the fair. There was also the Kiddie Tot Rod, which was a tractor racing event for the youth of the community to race in.

The fair was a defined as a success by some organizers considering the fair only needed to cancel one event, the Saturday Car Cruise, due to potential weather.

Saturday night, however, featured a demolition derby before closing out for the weekend.

The Christian County Fair Board gave thanks to all of those who sponsored the fair this year, and another big thanks to all of the participants who made this year's Christian County Agricultural Fair a reality.
