The Christian County Health Department is inviting expectant parents and growing families to attend a free Breastfeeding Basics Class designed to help participants begin their breastfeeding journey with confidence.
The class will be held on Friday, August 7th, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Christian County Health Department, located at 730 North Pawnee Street in Taylorville.
Led by Breastfeeding Peer Counselor Tahnee Callaway, the session is open to first-time parents, those expecting another child, or anyone looking for a refresher on breastfeeding basics. Organizers say the class will provide practical information in a relaxed and supportive environment, helping families feel more prepared before welcoming their new baby.
There is no cost to attend, but advance registration is encouraged. Those interested can reserve a spot by calling the Christian County Health Department at 217-824-4113.
Health Department officials say they look forward to providing support, education, and encouragement to families as they prepare for their breastfeeding journey. More details are available online at cchdil.org.
