The hit History Channel series American Pickers is planning to return to Illinois and Iowa this September to film new episodes, and the show's hosts are looking for private collections filled with unique antiques, rare artifacts, and memorable stories.

The documentary series follows expert pickers as they travel the country's back roads searching for historically significant items and one-of-a-kind collectibles. Producers say they're especially interested in meeting people with unusual collections and learning the stories behind the objects they've spent years preserving.

The show is not looking for retail businesses, flea markets, antique malls, museums, auction houses, or other collections that are open to the public. Instead, producers want to visit private properties where forgotten treasures may be tucked away in barns, garages, basements, or outbuildings.
