A mobile health unit from Taylorville Memorial Hospital could soon be visiting your community.  The TMH Foundation is in the process of raising money for the endeavor. They used the Memorial Health Championship golf tournament – which took place in Springfield over the final weekend of June – to do some of the fundraising.  TMH President and CEO Aaron Puchbauer says the mobile health unit will increase access to care for residents of remote towns, which in many cases do not have care facilities. 

Puchbauer adds the mobile health unit is expected to consist of equipment used in routine outpatient doctor visits.

Memorial Health sponsors the Springfield-based golf tournament in the Korn Ferry Tour, which is associated with the PGA.  It took place at the Panther Creek Country Club.  Some of the revenue from ticket sales and other sources will go towards the mobile health unit.
