Christian County Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee Set To Meet June 16th For It's Third Meeting.

The Christian County Hazard Mitigation Planning Committee is set to meet on Tuesday, June 16, at 2 PM. The meeting will take place at the Taylorville Fire Station Training Room located at 202 N. Main Street in Taylorville.

At this meeting, the committee will discuss the results of the vulnerability analyses, the results of the risk priority index exercise, community lifelines, project prioritization, and the development of multi-jurisdictional mitigation project lists.

During the last meeting, the committee asked multiple emergency management agencies across several jurisdictions in the committee’s coverage area to fill out some forms on hazard mitigation and to create their proposed preparedness plans to be reviewed at this meeting.

The committee is encouraging participating members to bring their draft mitigation project forms to this meeting, as well as any other completed forms from the first two meetings. Participating members can also email the completed forms to Ken Runkle at krunkle@aecspfld.com. The committee also urges those in participation to email Runkle for any questions or if they need an electronic version of any of the forms from Meetings 1 and 2.

Also, if you have not yet done so, the committee asks that those participating members complete the Christian County HMP Citizen Questionnaire and make sure to share it with your jurisdiction’s constituents.
