A train has derailed in Stonington on Sunday night. Eyewitnesses say two train cars have derailed on one of the side tracks in Stonington that were full of corn. According to Stonington Police Chief Phil Deal, a rail broke which is what caused the cars to roll over. NS is expected to be in Stonington around noon to fix the tail and set the cars back up. The break did not affect the main line rail, but police and NS are asking people to stay away from the area and find alternate routes.
