Second Round Of Vaccinations Goes Well In Christian County

The COVID-19 clinic for Christian County has closed down for the day after distributing all available vaccines. The Christian County Health Department helped distribute 440 vaccines and was closed down at 11:06 today.  Kevin Schott, Deputy Director with the Chris-Mont EMA, says that things went well for the second vaccine round and that in the future they’re hoping to get more than 440 doses.

Schott says he was happy the weather held off for the clinic. Schott also says that there were some changes for this week from last week to make things smoother which led to a 25% increase in efficiency.

The plan from the Chris-Mont EMA and the Christian County Health Department is to do these every Tuesday moving forward.

There is a group of volunteers through the Christian County Health Department and if you are interested in helping out, please contact the Health Department. Schott says for the most part that everything has gone smooth with minimal side effects.

The next clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, February 2nd. For more information stay tuned to Regional Radio News or contact the Christian County EMA.
