Governor Pritzker Urging Patience With Vaccines

As Illinois moves into Phase 1B of the COVID-19 vaccinations, Governor JB Pritzker is urging patience. More than 3 million Illinoisans fall into that 1B category and include those 65 and older and essential workers such as teachers and first responders. Governor Pritzker says that he is getting impatient at not getting the number of doses as fast as he would like.

Governor Pritzker says that vaccines will start to ramp up under the Biden administration and more vaccine sites will be available in Illinois which will be assisted by the National Guard, local health departments, and pharmacies.

A state website is expected to be launched soon with more information on when vaccine drive-thru clinics will be. Christian County will be holding a drive-thru clinic on Tuesday, January 26th.
