The City of Taylorville is issuing a burn ban in effect immediately that will extend through the weekend due to strong winds and a risk of fire. West winds are increasing throughout the morning and can reach peak gusts this afternoon of 30 mph in Taylorville. This can provide the potential for quick-spreading fire.
