Illinois Goes Over 50,000 Total COVID-19 Cases

The State of Illinois is working hard to help with outbreaks at senior living facilities. Governor JB Pritzker announced that the State is doing what they can to help protect the workers and residents of these places by adding a support program of nurses to homes.

 

The Governor says that these nurses will have three tasks on top of their main jobs.

 

 

The Department of Veterans Affairs is also helping out with giving more bed space to those who may need it and to help Seniors who may need a safe place.

 

Illinois Director of Public Health, Dr. Ngozi Ezike says that the IDPH is working hard to help the long term care facilities. 

 

 

The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 2,253 new cases of COVID-19 including 92 deaths. This brings the total amount to 50,355 cases including 2,215 deaths in 96 of the 102 counties in Illinois.
