Republicans are still frustrated over what they see as careless oversight when it comes to the release of prisoners due to the coronavirus outbreak. State Representatives Avery Bourne, Terri Bryant, Tom Bennett, and John Cabello are pushing hard for transparency and open lines from the Illinois Department of Corrections.  

Representative Avery Bourne is very frustrated over the lack of information from Governor JB Pritzker and his administration.

Representative Bourne wants to know names, crimes committed, and if families of crimes were notified that these people have been released into the community. She says that she is tired of hearing about things from press releases and not from the Governor.

Republicans are also very concerned over Illinois using a bailout after a disaster to recover after years of financial waste.

Governor JB Pritzker has maintained that he has been transparent with everyone over the IDOC releases.
