Governor JB Pritzker is facing backlash over his stay at home order and was on the defense today during his daily press conference. The Illinois Governor was quick to defend his actions on Monday stating once again that there are more cases in Chicago, but he does things for all of Illinois.
Governor Pritzker also was adamant that people understand that he speaks with all local officials about their area of the state.
After finding out that a Judge has issued a restraining order against the Governor over the stay-at-home order from Representative Darren Bailey’s lawsuit, Governor Pritzker did not mince words.
The IDPH announced 1,980 new cases of COVID-19 including 50 deaths. IDPH is reporting a total of 45,883 cases including 1,983 deaths in 96 of the 102 counties in Illinois.
