The Shelby County Economic Development Council was created to promote and stimulute economic development in Shelby County. Daley Schwengel is the Director of the SCEDC and has been on the job since February.

The main project that Schwengel has been working is the 2020 Census.

The COVID-19 pandemic had a huge impact on how Schwengel was going to educate Shelby County residents on the importance of the Census.
