New Drive-Thru Testing Facilities Open In Northern Illinois

On a day that saw the highest amount of patients tested for COVID-19, the state also saw its highest number of new cases. The state tested over 9,000 people yesterday and saw over 2,000 new COVID-19 cases. Governor JB Pritzker says that the state is opening two new test sites in Aurora and Rockford. 

 

 

Director of Public Health, Dr. Ngozi Ezike continues to urge people to get tested if you feel sick.

 

 

Governor Pritzker says that they are weighing all the options as we go forward when it comes to a stay at home order.

 

 

The closest state ran drive-thru facility to Central Illinois is in Bloomington. The IDPH is reporting 2,049 new cases of COVID-19 with 98 additional deaths. This brings the total to 35,108 cases overall with 1,565 deaths in 96 out of the 102 counties of Illinois.
